We are glad to have you visit with us today.  It is our desire to provide you with a glimpse of what Strafford 1st Assembly is all about, allow you to look into the ministries we provide, and to resource you in your own personal walk with God while visiting this site.  Directions to the church can be found by clicking "Get Directions" at the bottom of any of our pages.  We are empowered.  We are on purpose.  We are Strafford 1st Assembly of God!

Through the death and resurrection of Jesus we have been set free from the power of sin and death!  Not only have we been forgiven, but His grace actually gives us victory over sin.  As we have believed in Him, His Spirit has come to dwell inside of us and as we are filled with His Spirit we begin to see His supernatural nature showing up in us as we yield to Him releasing both the fruit and gifts of the Spirit.

Not only are we empowered to walk in faith to display the Kingdom to the world, but also empowered to send!  Strafford 1st Assembly supports 20 missionaries and are believing to add more as God empowers us to give even greater this year!  We are believing to give $20,000.00 to missions this year through the church.  To God be the glory!

Acts 1:8 (NIV)

"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

God did not give us power with no aim, but He gave us empowerment with purpose!  We have stepped into His eternal story empowered now to make Him known to all.  As we partner with Him and follow His lead we have the privilege to show others His love through both natural and supernatural means.  Sometimes that means giving a person a drink who is thirsty and other times it means seeing the sick healed as we pray in the name of Jesus.  As men see these good works we pray they will glorify our Father in Heaven.  Bringing people to the knowledge of God and into a real relationship with God is the greatest purpose we could know.  Without Him we can do nothing, but with Him we can accomplish all that He has set for us to do.  We need not flounder or wander aimlessly, but rather to move forward in purpose with His Spirit.
